Tonight’s Comic Book Club featured Craig Yoe (Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman’s Co-Creator Joe Shuster) and Fabian Nicieza (Trinity/Gotham Gazette). Craig had some great stories about trekking across the globe to buy up material from rare book dealers for “Fetish Art”. He even said that Joe Shuster’s 90 year-old sister loved the book and sent a really nice letter about her memory of Joe after the book was published.
Fabian talked about the madness that is publishing a weekly comic book and how little he’s gotten to see his wife in the last 52 weeks. He even had the script for the penultimate issue of Trinity in his bag.
Good times were had by all, bathed in the light of a graphic-film version of “Fetish Art”, animated by Craig’s good friend. It was a good night for super-hero fetishes.
