Recently Tony Lee (Doctor Who) and Bob Joy (Joker: Greatest Stories Ever Told) stopped by Comic Book Club for a very special Valentine’s Day episode. Tony had some great Doctor Who run-in stories from NYCC this past weekend, and Bob brought the funniest Valentine’s Day-themed Superman presentation ever. The whole thing was pulled from old Lois Lane Superman’s Girlfriend comics (the entire series lasted for 137 issues and ran from 1958 to 1974).
Wow! You’d never believe how context can change the interpretation of a comic book joke. I’ll be sure to post some of the awesome hilarity once I get a chance to edit it off my camera.
