Riding out the Halloween storm with James Whale’s masterpiece: Bride of Frankenstein (1935) way better than the original “Frankenstein” (1931). Frankenstein was like “The Dark Knight” of early genre film, a money printing machine. Boris Karloff was way more popular than Bela Lugosi, the Robert Pattinson of the same era.
